WHY THEORETICAL PHYSICS?

The field advances our fundamental understanding of the universe, with its powerful ideas seeding the technologies of tomorrow. Solar cells, computers, wireless technologies, diagnostic imaging – they are all rooted in breakthroughs made by theoretical physicists.
